While flowers like bird vetch and white sweetclover may be pretty, they are invasive and their spread can be harmful to pollinators, according to an entomologist with the 花椒直播 Cooperative Extension Service.

Less seen are the millions of insects now dancing across the tundra and floating in air.

Arctic Research Open House is an annual Arctic-research event for the community, demonstrating the science happening at UAF! Join this free event on May 15 from 4-7 p.m. to see how Arctic-research is relevant to you. Participate in scientific interactives, watch live demos, earn free prizes and stick around to grab a bite from the Corn Diggity Dog food truck.

All ages welcome, minors must be accompanied by a guardian.
