Recycling
Recycling at UAF is a student-run program; it includes paper, cardboard, aluminum,
some plastics and more. Collection bins can be found all over campus, including in
the dorms. The Office of Sustainability employs a team of 2-3 students to run the
recycling program - this team picks up, hand-sorts, and hauls items to different facilities
in Fairbanks.
UAF Recycling also provides recycling-focused education and workshops throughout the
academic year. Individuals interested in volunteering with the UAF Recycling can e-mail
cmkemper@alaska.edu.
Items are hauled to the FNSB Central Recycling Facility as well as C+R Pipe Metal
